Praise Report!
The following message was left on our Survey after she visited the chat room when facing a unplanned pregnancy:
"SafeHaven prevented the death of my unborn child. I am so thankful, I really am beyond words. I have the support I did not think I would have, and although my mom was shocked at first, she is very excited now. Heartbeat International Conference
April 17-19, 2008
Dallas, TX
We have been invited to present a workshop "Abortion Recovery Online through Message Boards and Chat Rooms" at the annual International Heartbeat Conference in Dallas, TX this April.
Carla will be joining Cathy Foster, President and Founder of CoolCoyotes, Inc. in presenting this workshop to leaders in Post Abortion Ministries. In addition, we will be hosting an exhibit to share our mission and vision with the attendees at this years conference.
Heartbeat International is the first network of prolife pregnancy centers founded in the United States and is the largest group of centers in the world. They are nonprofit, interdenominational Christian association of faith-based pregnancy resource centers, medical clinics, maternity homes, and nonprofit adoption agencies endorsed by Christian leaders nationwide.

Chat Rooms Experiencing High Traffic During Moderated Chats
The month of January was one of the busiest months the ministry has experienced in our chat rooms. Our logs indicate that visitors are dropping into chat 24/7 and from all over the world. Just recently on a Sunday afternoon I felt led to drop into the chatroom and was able to chat with an individual from Scotland, UK, Washington State, Rhode Island and Florida; all while sitting in my living room!
The evening Moderated chats have experienced the most traffic leading us to add multiple Moderators to help meet this need.
Our Current chat schedule is located in the left column of this e-newsletter. You are welcome to join our Moderated Chats anytime. If you would like more information on how to become a volunteer, please let me know. An updated training manual is almost complete and will be available soon! | SafeHaven Brochures Available
We have available in packets of 25 our SafeHaven Brochures. This resource is a great tool for your Pregnancy Resource Center and/or Church. Here are a few examples your organization could use our brochures:
- Clients/Members that are not ready to discuss their past abortion experience face to face.
- Post Abortion Bible Study Attendees - To discuss current "homework" or struggles they are facing going through the study.
- Bulletin inserts during Sanctity of Human Life Sunday, Mother's Day and other dates that trigger post abortion pain.
All of our volunteers have been through similar Pregnancy Resource Center training (most have been through actual PRC training), therefore, you can be sure the message received in our ministry will be the same as in your ministry.
